Three Brothers Farm grows sugarcane in Vermillion Parish west of New Orleans. After the canes are crushed, the juice is boiled for hours to produce cane syrup. Not as sweet as refined sugar and with a complex, caramel flavor, cane syrup is perfect with cornbread and biscuits. It can be used in cocktails, as a glaze meats and vegetables, or for great pecan pie. Mix it with Crystal hot sauce for the best fried chicken dip.
